Clothing Wrinkles and Fabric Folding Reference by ConceptCookie Clothing Wrinkles and Fabric Folding Reference by ConceptCookie
With over 150 votes, this was the top tutorial request and now you can watch the tutorials on creating clothing wrinkles and fabric folding!
cgcookie.com/concept/cgc-cours…

In this course Tim Von Rueden takes you through the steps on creating realistic clothing wrinkles and folding fabric. In this three part series, we first take a look at the basics and understanding how clothing and fabric works. From there we look at a demonstration on creating realistic folding fabric and then taking all that we’ve learned previously and drawing a few examples of drawing clothing from that.

Ugh, I never really understood how to 'properly' draw clothing folds, but hopefully this will help me to overcome any shortcomings I had with drawing clothing-- x)) Lovely tutorial, thank you so much for uploading!~~

This is great! Is there any way to show the jeans without so many wrinkles, though? I'm a beginner and it seems kind of complicated :P

The plus represents the extreme aspects of thin to thick, and loose to tight. All fabrics will land somewhere in between two of them and there are a few examples given! Hope that helps

i think what got me confused for a bit was that i tried to make impossible types of clothing, well at least impossible to find on the chart. I thought "what if i wanted to make something thin and thick"...that'll be impossible
